Supported are all industry standard files in almost any containers and codecs.


  • Video: MXF, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, H264, MOV, AVI etc. including alpha channel (if available)
  • Still images: JPEG, PNG (including alpha)
  • Audio: WAV, MP3 (without image media content)




It is recommended (and mandatory for 24/7 guaranteed playout) to use a single file format for all media to be played out.


Recommended format: 

MPEG-2 or MPEG-4 AVC Main@L4.1

MPEG-2 or AAC / PCM audio with constant bitrate

Interlacing field order should be same for all files


For trimming or splitting files in playlist it is mandatory to use files without long GOPs, such as DNxHD with PCM audio inside MOV or MXF.



Duration of file

File duration should be at least 4 seconds (100 frames)
